The product, which is discharged through the die plate in strands, is cut into pellets by a knife blade. The length of the pellets can be adjusted as required by changing the revolution speed of the knife blade and the number of knives. The knife blade is arranged concentric with the die plate.

The pelletizer hood and the nozzle retaining plate are designed to be swiveled on hinges. This arrangement is intended to facilitate speedy cleaning of the screws and die plate seat, and changing the die plates. Connection to the ZSK is using quick-action locks.
The knife blade is spring-mounted on the die plate, which guarantees even positioning of the knives on the die plate over a longer period. The start-up product in strand or pelletized form can be diverted away via the start-up flap. A safety device ensures that the pelletizer hood can only be opened once the motor has stopped.
