Key Account Manager Food Industry (m/w/d)

As a member of our sales management team for the business unit Food & Pharma, you will be responsible for the promotion and coordination of all Coperion Technology for food projects throughout the global network of subsidiaries and associated distribution channels.

Main Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Promote and improve the sale of all Coperion products by establishing a coordinated technical and marketing platform
  • Analyze how our Coperion products may fit into the structure of our global key clients and establish a key account strategy for our designated clients in the food industry
  • Coordinate client communication and client visits aligned with established strategy, drawing up an enquiry acceptancy criteria to ensure that Coperion can provide the best technical and commercial proposals
  • Discuss and negotiate contractual and commercial terms with our clients and coordinate with our management team
  • You are the interface between our key clients and our company and will maintain close contact and communication with our customers while working closely together with our Sales and Engineering departments
  • Close cooperation with our management in order to ensure long-term growth within the food industry, as well as working closely together with our R&D Department and our business development manager on new product development

Required Experience and Education

  • Several years of commercial and technical experience in the food industry and sound knowledge of bulk solids handling, especially feeding and conveying, as well as excellent understanding of the relevant norms and equipment specifications for the food and pharma industry (FDA, cGMP, etc.)
  • Assertive and result-driven personality with strong communication skills and flair for building long-term customer relations
  • Experience in an international and intercultural environment, openness to travel (30-40%)
  • Very good communication skills with fluency in German and English
  • Good computer skills for efficient use in daily business (MS Office, ERP, Skype, etc.)
