Björn Brüning

Head of the Control Cabinet Design Department, Assembly Segment

I began my training as a mechatronics engineer at Coperion in 2003. Following my training, I began working in the Control Cabinet Design Department. Continuing professional development is always present at Coperion — one only needs to have the will and then pursue one’s goals. Coperion has supported me in achieving my PD goals. For that reason, from 2008 to 2010, I completed training and education to become an Industrial Master Mechatronics Engineer. I have been Head of the Control Cabinet Design Assembly Department as well as the Electrical Assembly Department since 2010. In this function, I am the technical supervisor for the entire electrical assembly.

Working at Coperion means working at a healthy mid-sized company with a great deal of know-how and expert knowledge at its disposal, spanning all departments and locations. We offer customer-specific solutions, meaning that the day-to-day work never gets boring and offers a lot of freedom to act. Moreover, Coperion is a company that hasn't lost its familial character, despite its constant growth.

As an engineering company, even we are facing the challenges and demands that the topic of “Industry 4.0 Production” brings. The ever-growing systems complexity, where electronics make up an ever larger part, creates a number of tasks for us that we will need to devote ourselves to in the future. Our goal is to move our company and products forward with it, expanding possibilities for our customers as we do. I work on this with my teams every day — not only with our minds, but also with our hearts.
