STS Mc¹¹ – Twin screw extruder with numerous benefits

In addition to the established high-end ZSK series, Coperion has produced the first-class STS Mc¹¹ extruder series for many years.

STS Mc11 features a specific torque of 11.3 Nm/cm3, screw speeds of up to 900 rpm and longtime proven Coperion extruder quality. Furthermore the series offers an extremely appealing price/performance ratio. At K 2016 we presented the STS Mc11 extruder with many improvements. With masterbatch processing in mind, we have equipped the twin screw extruder with new features that significantly improve the system’s handling and ease of cleaning.

The STS Mc11 now has a new manifold with coaxial solenoid valves in order to increase operational reliability. To make it even simpler to work at the machine, we revised the heat insulating hood in a way that enables easy access to the process section and easier cleaning as well. And quick connections ensure that the hopper can be replaced conveniently. To prevent vibrations during operation, the STS Mc11 series now has an innovative, torsion-resistant base frame like the one in the ZSK series. It delivers smooth operation and increases operational reliability, therefore extending the extrusion system’s service life.

The twin screw extruder can now be equipped with the user-friendly CSpro basic control system, which Coperion has used in its ZSK high performance extruders since 2010. Over the years, CSpro basic has proven to be a reliable, uncomplicated control system.

And a new die head that was specially developed for masterbatch applications is also available now.

At Chinaplas this spring (May 16-19, 2017: China Import & Export Fair Complex, Pazhou, Guangzhou, PR China), we will be presenting the STS Mc11 twin screw extruder again. Visit us at our booth – 5.1R01 in hall 5.1 – and experience the system’s many advantages yourself. We look forward to explaining our products to you there!
