Production of LFT long fiber reinforced thermoplastics in the pultrusion process

Twin screw extruders from Coperion have been used successfully for the production of long fiber thermoplastics for many years. The pultrusion pellets are an integral part of the automotive and vehicle industry as well as the building construction, sports equipment and furniture.

Materials produced with the LFT pultrusion process feature very good mechanical properties with low weight and at the same time put high demands on the compounding process.

In cooperation with our partners we provide machines for the production of LFT long fiber thermoplastics in the pultrusion process. The twin screw extruder in which the polymer and additive are compounded gently by special screw configurations is provided by Coperion. The pultrusion head of the plants in which the fibers are impregnated is supplied by partner companies such as PPG.
