Design Features

The K4G Blender System features a modular base plate, pivoting axle SFT-III support, central K4G collection hopper with pre-cut feeding ports, and a refill support stand with modular component build up. It accepts a wide range of Coperion K-Tron single or twin screw metering devices as well as Bulk Solids Pumps to handle a variety of pellets, granules, powders, flakes and fibers.

General cabling is inside protected conduits. Each system component is suspended from a single point and swings out on its axis, independent of any auxiliary devices. This allows for easy cleaning or replacement of equipment modules, e.g. the feeder screw, as well as for sampling.

The system is completely modular; feeders and conveyors can be exchanged or removed as needed. Each feeder is equipped with an individual SmartConnex control module featuring integrated support for single loaders.

Available Models

The K4G system is completely modular - feeders and receivers can be exchanged or removed as needed.

The following feeders are available in K4G versions:
BS60 Single Screw Feeder (see next tab above)
KT20 Twin Screw Feeders for powders (see Twin Screw Feeders)
KQx4 Single Screw Feeder for low feed rates (see Single Screw Feeders)
BSP-100 Bulk Solids Pump Feeder (see BSP Feeders)
BSP-135 Bulk Solids Pump Feeder (see BSP Feeders)

For higher feed rates or special agitation needs, Coperion K-Tron modular loss-in-weight feeders with three-point-weighing systems can also be integrated into the same stand.

Loss-in-weight Single Screw Feeder BS60 for K4G Blender System

The Coperion K-Tron K4G-L-BS60 feeder is a device specifically designed for use with the K4G system. It is ideal for gravimetric feeding of free flowing bulk solids that require neither a horizontal nor a vertical agitator. A volumetric version with a spacer in place of the load cell is also available. This model can be combined with Coperion K‑Tron modular feeders.

The single screw feeder with extension hopper is suspended on a single-point weighing system. The flange for the load cell is connected directly to the feeder bowl. This design permits easy exchange of extension hoppers. A swivel unit is connected to the weighing system, by which the feeder can be swung up to 90° from the working position. This allows for easy cleaning, replacement of the feeding tools and sampling.

Feed Rates

Depending on the combination of feeder screw and tube as well as on the bulk material fed, feed rates range from 0.5 dm3/h to 2813 dm3/h. For more detailed information please refer to the Product Specification Sheet.
