The official opening ceremony of Coperion South East Asia (CSEA) in Rayong, Thailand took place at the beginning of October. Benny Everaerts, Managing Director of the site, gives us a look behind the facade of the new facility, including the background to the choice of location, the service portfolio and future plans for Coperion South East Asia.

Congratulations on the opening of Coperion South East Asia
Coperion has opened a new site in Thailand.
What prompted you to open a new Coperion site in Rayong, Thailand?
Thailand itself and the countries in the region are very important for us. We want to serve the customers in this region even closer and be able to support them even faster. The new location in Rayong allows us to meet this goal better than before.
We now have a spacious office area of 300 m² here at the site for administration. For manufacturing, overhaul and all other technical services, we have 800 m² available. We have started with a team of 14 people and plan further growth, expanding the service portfolio in the coming months.
What services will you offer from the new Thailand location?
Our team consists of experienced service technicians who have been working for Coperion and in the industry for many years. With this motivated team, we provide all-round service for Coperion systems and equipment, from maintenance and repair work to servicing and modernization. We ensure that all individual components, such as feeders, bulk material components, extruders or pelletizers, as well as entire systems operate at maximum efficiency in the long term.
We take care of equipment for plastics processing and compounding. And we are service partners for all aspects of our systems in the food, pharmaceutical and chemical industry.
In particular, companies that have only a small maintenance team or none at all can now rely even more on our technical expertise to maintain their equipment.
A special highlight of our workshop is the area where we overhaul extruder gearboxes. The gearbox of an extruder is a key element for the smooth operation of the entire extrusion line. Only if the extruder gearbox runs smoothly is it possible to operate the entire extrusion line with maximum economy and efficiency. Accordingly, it is important to service the gearbox on a regular basis. And this is exactly what our experts do in our gearbox workshop.
When will you be available for customers?
We have already started operations. We had a small opening ceremony at the beginning of October. Now we are looking forward to every inquiry and every order where we can support our customers.
What are your plans for the future?
We want to further optimize our service offering and gear our portfolio specifically to our customers in Southeast Asia. Soon we will no longer be perceived as a new location, but as an established and valuable service partner in the region.
