Coriolis Mass Flow Meter

Get in touch about this offering

Effortlessly measuring your material flows

The principle of a Coriolis Flow Meter in short: utilizes a measuring wheel that rotates at a constant speed. Material entering the unit flows into the top of the measuring wheel and is deflected outward in a radial direction creating a “Coriolis Force.” The Flow Meter sees this force as a change in torque which is detected by a strain-gauge load cell. The output of the load cell is electronically processed to produce flow rate, proportional to the gravimetric feed rate, even with changing bulk density or different grain size.

Best of all, unlike other flow meters on the market, the performance of our Coriolis Mass Flow Meters is not affected by material density, friction or in-feed drop height.

Our mass flow meters are capable of:

  • Dust feeding
  • Flour feeding
  • Polymer feeding in granulating plants (extruder feeding)
  • Measuring of returns in mills
  • Throughput and consumption measurement for in-plant inventory
  • Optimization of truck loading

Mass flows are exactly measured and fed in conjunction with an adjustable prefeeder, irrespective of the properties of the bulk solids. It is neither affected by nor sensitive to external influences.

Key benefits

  • Two designs available: Model S (three sizes) and Model H (four sizes).
  • Model S feed rates up to 160 m3/h or 150 t/h
  • Model H feed rates up to 150 m3/h or 900 t/h
  • Accuracies of ±0.5%
  • Simple to install due to in-line implementation and compact construction
  • Maintenance and repair costs are both low
  • Two sizes available: S and H
