Where uniform discharge is critical, especially at very low rates, our vibratory feeders provide excellent gravimetric feeding of very free flowing bulk materials. Vibratory feeders have proven best for feeding fragile ingredients and problem materials such as fibers, glass fibers and also abrasive materials such as rough-grained powders and granules.

Design Features

Trays are available in 2 shapes and various sizes

Vibratory trays are available in two designs and various sizes and can be combined with various hopper sizes to cover a wide range of materials and feed rates.

Rectangular trays are appropriate for most materials and the "alpenhorn" style trays are ideal for fibers.

The fiber equalizer is available for KV2 and KV3 models

The fiber equalizer sports the following features:

  • Accurate and reliable feeding of glass fibers (or other fibers) with lengths of 3 to 6 mm
  • Totally enclosed channel, i.e. no fiber contamination of surroundings
  • The efficient function of the equalizer makes it possible to keep the length of the vibrating tray very short
  • The fiber equalizer is adjustable and avilable in different configurations to match feed rate and material behavior
Vibratory Feeder, vibratory drive

The Coperion K-Tron vibratory drive with the patented 3-loop concept is part of the control system and has been developed especially for use with these feeders. One control loop maintains tray resonance, a second loop varies amplitude to control rate, and a third loop reflects the mechanical dynamics associated with the unique combination of material and feeder to trim output to the highest attainable accuracy.

K-ML-D5-KV2-F Vibratory Feeder on D5 platform scale, with fiber equalizer

Vibratory feeding module consisting of a vibrator (KV2), a closed feeder tray and a hopper. Especially suited for the feeding of glass fibers with lengths of 3 to 6 mm. Implements a vibratory tray with fiber equalizer for continuous distribution of the fiber flow.

Feed Rates

Feed rate range with controller settings is 1:20. Adjustments to the drive can increase the range to 1:30.
