Extrusion lines of Coperion ensure highest product qualities when producing powder coating

Continuous Production of High-Quality Powder Coating

Powder coating applies as a free-flowing, dry powder. The main difference in comparison to a conventional liquid paint is that powder coating does not require a solvent to keep the binder and filler parts in a liquid suspension form.

Coperion offers high-end extrusion technology for the production of first-class powder coating. Due to their excellent mixing behavior and the gentle product handling these lines are characterized by absolutely homogeneous distribution of the paint components in the powder.

Premixed raw materials are fed into the twin screw extruder ZSK Mv PLUS via a volumetric feeder. They are processed within the ZSK Mv PLUS which operates extremely flexible. The speed, residence time and throughput rate can be adapted quickly and individually to your requirements. Processing of high percentage of fines is possible with optimized process set-up.

Advantages of Coperion's powder coating production lines

Coperion twin screw extruder ZSK MvPLUS Screw elements

The process section of the ZSK Mv PLUS twin screw extruder series is designed as a modular system. It consists of several barrels in which the co-rotating screws operate. The advantage of this modular principle is its excellent mixing behavior and the gentle product handling for maximum quality. The closely intermeshing twin screws of the ZSK series eliminate with their tight profile stagnant zones and ensure optimum self-cleaning.
