Food Extrusion Seminar

3rd Food Extrusion Seminar on Sepember 30 and October 1, 2015

We are opening our doors at the Stuttgart site for the "Food Extrusion Seminar" on 30 September and 1 October 2015. This seminar will be run for the third time in a row in collaboration with the German Institute for Food Technology (DIL e.V.). During this two-day intensive seminar, lecturers from Coperion, Coperion K-Tron, DIL and guest lecturers will take a closer look at the various technological aspects of food extrusion. Experts will discuss the entire process sequence of food extrusion in their lectures. The seminar includes both theoretical and practical units and will convey basic knowledge as well as information on the latest technological developments and trends concerning food extrusion.

Using our ZSK twin-screw extruder as an example (which is fitted with a cooling nozzle from DIL), the design and function of this continuous production equipment, which can be used in many aspects of food production, will be outlined in detail. This versatility is demonstrated by the different process steps that run within the extruder, from mixing, boiling, denaturing and sterilizing to shaping, cooling and cutting the end product.

In the question & answer sessions, our experts will explain the details of the entire extrusion process – from feeding, preparation, and pelletization through to drying and conveying. During a tour of the plant at Coperion, you will gain insights into the production of twin-screw extruders.
