Industrial Air Filtration

Industrial air filtration is a critical component in maintaining a clean and safe working environment across various manufacturing and processing industries. It involves the use of advanced filtration systems designed to remove dust, fumes, airborne particles, and contaminants from the air. Effective air filtration protects workers from harmful pollutants. Whether through HEPA filters, electrostatic precipitators, or activated carbon systems, industrial air filtration solutions are tailored to meet the specific needs of different industries, promoting a healthier and more efficient workplace. Investing in high-performance air filters is a smart decision for any industry focused on sustainability and excellence

Mac PowerHouse Baghouse Dust Collector - Industrial Air Filtration

The Mac Powerhouse (MPH) baghouse dust collector is designed to handle fine particulates and heavy dust loads. MPH filters come in sizes and configurations to fit most industrial air quality control applications – from grain, flour and wood dust to coal, rock mineral and chemical fines.

Reverse-Air system achieves exceptional cleaning

The MPH Reverse-Air System achieves exceptionally uniform media cleaning. Coperion’s proprietary pie-shaped air distribution arm cleans every bag the same number of times in each rotation – unlike other bag cleaning filter designs which needlessly clean the inside rows of bags with more air than the outside rows, resulting in wasted energy and uneven bag/cartridge wear.

Computer-designed bag spacing creates lower average internal air velocities and further promotes cleaning efficiency. The use of round filter bags, instead of the oval bags found on other collectors, also contributes to even cleaning.

The fan blows directly into a rotating cleaning arm that passes over the filter bags. The fan and the gear drive that rotates the cleaning arm both employ explosion proof motors. Filters are designed for 20” W.C. and a maximum operating temperature of 104° F.

Design features of MPH Baghouse Dust Collectors:

  • Meets air quality standards year after year with minimal maintenance
  • Low pressure/high volume cleaning mechanism incorporates a centrifugal fan to produce the bag cleaning air
  • Centrifugal fan blows continuously into a rotating arm passing over bags
  • No timing mechanism required

Mac2Flo - Industrial Dust Collector

The Mac2Flo dust collector provides cost effective filtration of the finest submicron dusts. The unit operates with dust-laden air entering the top of the filter and flowing downward which guarantees effective settling of the fine, light dusts with low terminal settling velocities. As each filter cartridge can contain up to 23.5 m² of media, significant filtration potential can be contained within a relatively compact housing.

Design features of Mac2Flor Dust Collectors:

  • Modular design reduces initial capital cost and makes future expansion easy.
  • Tool-free cartridge removal reduces on-going maintenance costs.
  • Reduced set-up time lowers installation costs.
  • Reduced compressed air requirement saves energy.
  • Compact design takes up less floor space.

MCF PowerSaver Dust Collector - Industrial Air Filtration

As the cost of energy continues to increase, plant managers are continually looking for ways to reduce power consumption. Within our dust collection portfolio is the unique MCF PowerSaver, a filter that can save up to 50% of operational costs by using medium pressure air for the cleaning cycle. The MCF’s integrated blower provides the 0.49 bar medium pressure air for cleaning which eliminates the need for plant compressed air in the filter and frees up existing compressed air capacity for use in other processes.

The patented MCF PowerSaver also provides:

  • Excellent operation capabilities in high dust load applications and in explosive atmospheres
  • Good for operation in high temperatures 465°F (240°C) and higher.
  • Cleaning capacities over 250,000 CFM (425,000 m³/h).
  • Longer Bag Life – precision cleaning by the MCF PowerSaver prevents over cleaning and ensures that bag life is uniform and maximized.
  • Lower Emissions – medium-pressure pulse complemented by precision cleaning has proven to have much lower emissions than reverse air cleaning filter systems.
  • Lower Operating Costs – medium-pressure, high volume air is cheaper to generate than low pressure, reverse air systems. The MCF PowerSaver can save as much as 50% in operating costs through this functionality alone.
  • Lower Maintenance Costs – the MCF PowerSaver’s “no tool design” bag change-out saves hundreds of hours of installation and maintenance over the life of the filter.

The following features and options are available with the MCF PowerSaver:

  • Optional gear provides ability to pulse twice as often
  • Wide variety of filter media available
  • Heavy duty carbon or stainless steel construction
  • Walk-in clean air plenum with lifting lugs
  • Hinged service door for easy access to clean the air plenum
  • Direct-drive rotating surge tank, diaphragm valves and distribution arm powered by an explosion proof motor
  • Mechanically controlled medium pressure air cleaning mechanism discharges air directly over the center of filter bags
  • Topside tool-free cage and snap-band bag removal
  • Explosion venting and suppression are optionally available.
  • Ladder, safety cage, and service platform provided as standard
  • Dust collectors up to 14’ (4.3 m) diameter can be shipped as a single full-welded unit (where local shipping restrictions permit). All units are available in sectionalized form to meet shipping needs as necessary.

Typical applications for the MCF PowerSaver include:

  • Process dust collection
  • Coal handling
  • Lime processing
  • Cement
  • Pneumatic receiving for ship loading/unloading
  • Gypsum/Wallboard processing
  • Metals processing
  • Aggregates
  • Grain handling
